Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is … Someday.
Someday – that day off in the future.
Seeing the word prompt, other days also come to mind …
Everyday,
holidays,
yesterdays,
birthdays,
workdays,
washdays,
weekdays, and
today.
For all of these, God has been with us and more than faithful. Not everyday was a good day, but for each of these the goodness of God was present.
God will be with us for each someday,
those days in the future,
and He will be always be faithful.
“Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6, NASB)

Today I may be joining …
Yes! Amen. Goodness and mercy. God help me slow down to see it. (FMF#2)
Someday it will be washday,
someday an anniversary.
Someday it will dawn today,
and then we’re gonna see
if all that we hoped and feared
really will come true,
or if the slate’s already cleared
with nothing left to do.
On that day of happenstance
will we shout and sing,
or will we in suspicion glance
at the rain the clouds may bring?
Evil eye or happy voice,
Someday’s gonna be our choice.
“Not everyday was a good day, but for each of these the goodness of God was present.” Love it!
Love this – yes, so glad that God is with me every day, no matter what it’s called. And I love this song so much. Visiting from FMF#12
Loved “God will be with us for each someday,
those days in the future,
and He will be always be faithful.”
Amen!
“Surely goodness and loving-kindness will follow you all the days of your life…’ Amen
