“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.”
(Psalm 1:2. NASB)
“God delights in blessing His children. But we must prepare ourselves for His blessings by first appropriating the resources He has given us. Delight in the Word of God and feed on it. But do more than occasionally read the Word; meditate on it constantly. Make it your source of spiritual nourishment, and God will bless you with strength and stability.”

For nourishment to benefit us, we have to take it in on a regular basis, and I think develop an appetite for the things that are best for us. Love this wisdom from Wiersbe.
The nourishment of His word changes the daily. I’ve had a cold this last week – and I think going through a day without time with Him is like a day with a cold – His nourishment changes the day from sickly, un-energetic to a vibrant, healthy day.
