I have been a Mimi now for seventeen years. Not sure how the years managed go by so quickly, but they have passed with the blink of an eye.
Now I have found myself in the trenches with other Mimi’s, or Grandma’s, or Nana’s, or MeeMaw’s, and all of us have a heart to pray for our grandchildren. World events and the changes occurring leave our thoughts wondering, our hearts heavy, and our knees shaking. We’re all praying for one another’s grandchildren as if they were our own.
And can I just say, it has been a joy and a privilege not only to pray but to rejoice in answered prayers. In each and every victory, we all are benefiting and winning the battle to save the next generation.
Paul in writing to young Timothy reminded him of the influence of his grandmother:
“For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.” (2 Timothy 1:5, NASB)
May I share a few suggestions that I am learning as of late? I hope you will join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE.

Today I may be joining … Remember Me Monday and Tell His Story
Yes, and amen!
Lord God, You have always known the circumstances into which our grandchildren would be born and grow to adulthood. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our children and grandchildren in this current day. Your word says that You give us everything we need to know You and to live in godliness. So as grandmas we choose to trust You. Father, let Your will be done on Earth today as it is in Heaven with our loved ones. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Grandmothers are so important. My granny shared her values by living life with us, sharing meals, having conversations while playing board games with us. By the time we were grown, we knew that Granny loved Jesus and that she loved us. We knew what was important to her.
