Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is: Decision.
Decision >> The dictionary informs me it means “a determination arrived at after consideration.”
We make decisions all day long, often without even realizing it.
Here or there? How and when? Hot or cold? What shall I wear? In or out? What shall I cook for dinner?
Eventually our decisions weigh how we will act, what we will do, and who we will become.
I so dislike them having to make a decision as I want to make them wisely, and do what is right before God.
“The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
(Proverbs 16:9, NASB)
We can find comfort in knowing with every decision, here is a plan, and God holds the plan, and direct our steps. We can rely on Him and seek His plan, for He will reveal and bring direction to each one of us.
“Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.”
(Psalm 25:4, NASB)
Decisions.
May we make them determined
to know God’s way and paths for our lives.

Today I am joining Five Minute Friday .

This is so beautifully said.
I recognize that desire to make the “right” decision before God—it can feel heavy at times. But I love how you point back to His guidance. That brings so much peace.
We plan, we think, we choose… and still, He gently directs our steps.
Thank you for this reminder to seek Him and trust that He will lead the way.
Thank you, Aritha. May we always pray for the Lord to teach us His ways. Blessings!
