Eight weeks ago now I had an incident where my hand and our hedge cutter had a meeting. It has been a most unexpected and challenging journey still requiring weekly visits to the occupational therapist and monthly to the orthopedic.
Somewhere along my journey, it may have been when it was “National Talk to People in the Elevator Day”, I decided to start talking to people each time I went.
Last week on the drive down I had worship music blasting one of my favorite CD’s. The lyrics were encouraging to my circumstances as mending and healing are my deepest desire.
“I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desperate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ the Lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God, just as I am.”
(Just As I Am – Songwriters: David E. Moffitt / Sue C. Smith / Travis Cottrell)
Encouraged and feeling optimistic, I stepped onto the elevator. In a few seconds, a man came pushing his wife in a wheel chair and another man stepped in.
Join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE where I will share the rest of the story. Let’s encourage one another to keep our eyes on Jesus.
