In the middle of every difficulty, we have our God upon whom we can call to for help. He will always be our very present help in times of trouble.
(Psalm 46:1) …

  • From Psalm 4:8, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” In the stillness of the night, the battle with fear and/or anxiety can resurrect its ugly head. I remembered this quote from Charles Spurgeon, “The sovereignty of God is the pillow upon which the child of God rests His head at night, giving perfect peace.”
  • From Psalm 28:7, “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” David prayed, releasing his concern, and trusting God to take care of it.
  • From Psalm 61:4, “Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings!” Protection is not be found in a place but in a person – our God. I am always safe with Him.
  • From Psalm 143:8, “Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.” It is important to start our day with time spent focusing on God alone and having Him set the focus. I can go confidently through my day, trusting Him to lead me.
  • From Psalm 145:18, “The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.” He is as close to us as a whisper or our very breath. He hears every word we speak to Him.

He longs to hear from you.

Won’t you call on Him and wait for His response?
