“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9, NLT)
The grace you had yesterday will not be sufficient for today. Grace is the overflowing favor of God, and you can always count on it being available to draw upon as needed. Prayer is the practice of drawing on the grace of God.
(from My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers)
Today I am joining … Give Me Grace and Spiritual Sundays and Word of God Speak .
Stopped in my tracks by the NLT rendering of that verse. “My strength is made perfect in weakness” does not have the same effect on my brain, but what a gift to know that the infinite power of God, by His choice, “works best” in the context of my lack of power.
Thanks, Joanne and happy Sunday!
Love this… “Prayer is the practice of drawing on the grace of God.” The times I visit you on Sundays for your short devotionals quoting Oswald Chambers reminds me I have this devotional and I should start digging into it again. Sabbath blessings!
I’m so thankful for God’s new mercies and great grace every day!
