“Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.”
(Job 42:3, NIV)
“It’s easy to thank God when he does what we want. But God doesn’t always do what we want. Ask Job.
God owes no one anything. No reasons. No explanations. Nothing. If he gave them, we couldn’t understand them.
God is God. He knows what he is doing. When you can’t trace his hand, trust his heart.”

Thank you for this much needed piece of truth and wisdom.
Oh how sometimes it is hard to tell God, thank you, I know it is your will and not mine, but the human in mean cannot help the disappointment until the truth of the why is revealed. That quote puts it perfectly. 🙂
It is the struggle we find ourselves with trust, but may we come to trust Him more.
We studied Job recently and this is a theme we discussed – God doesn’t owe us an explanation and we need to trust him because he is God and we’re not. I like how Lucado sums it up.
Yes, he sums it up perfectly. The enemy would have us focus on what we cannot see or understand. But we know the heart of God and we can always trust His heart.
