As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew sitting in the tax collector’s office; and He said to him, “Follow Me!” (Matthew 9:9b, NASB)

One day Jesus was walking when He saw a man, Matthew, sitting performing his job, which happened to be that of collecting taxes. Jesus told him to follow Him, and Matthew did just that ”“ he got up and followed Him.
