Having two young granddaughters, I recently began to review children’s books. God’s Great Plan by Melissa Cutrera & Matthew Sample II is both wonderfully written and illustrated for children.
The author is a missionary kid with an MDiv. She is the mother of two young children and her husband is a youth pastor.
The book beautifully narrates the story of God’s plan telling of creation, the fall, redemption, and our future hope. Children will learn basic and fundamental truths with the author’s simple and clear writing style. She uses words that are familiar to a child’s vocabulary. Children will be able to get a grasp of God’s story and the plan of salvation from an early age.
The illustrations are colorful and children will be drawn in by their presentation. Their depiction is sure to spark questions and conversations with curious young listeners.
This is a great resource for parents, for churches and for Christian school libraries. Easy to give this book a 5 star review.
