Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. Unedited. The prompt this week is … Order.
It’s easy to see the perfect order God has created in His world.
The earth rotates once a day while at the same time making one rotation around the sun each year. This is the order by which we get day and night and our seasons.
God set the boundaries of the seas, so that the waters would not go further than His determinations.
The sun rises and sets in response to His command. Every star has been set in place and our moon has been positioned in such a way as to impact the tides of the oceans.
One season leads into another so that springtime and harvest occur at the right time each year.
Our world operating in perfection because He has determined its order. This brings me the assurance He is fully able to perfectly order my steps as well. He arranges circumstances and events in our lives, changing us, perfecting us, and transforming us into the persons we are to be. He gently molds and shapes our lives.
May we trust Him to lead us each day getting us to the destination fulfilling His plan for each of our lives.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.”
(Psalm 37:23, NKJV)

Amen and amen
Not up to much commenting, Joanne, but your beautiful post really made me think. I hope you enjoy the sonnet.
The seasons come, the seasons go,
on shores the seas do roll,
and from this steadiness I know
that God is in control.
The moon will rise, and then will set,
Polaris is night’s friendly guide,
and I need not place a bet
on things that will betide,
for He’s got all this in His hands,
hands that molded earth and molded me,
and now, at last, I understand,
and now, at last, I see,
that though the storm is loud and strong
I’ve dwelled in safety all along.
Andrew, I am in total tears. Brother, thank you for using your strength to leave this beautiful sonnet with me. I have to figure out just how to share it with everyone.
Love this.
Great post.
I can be calm in God’s order, I rest in God’s hand, I can walk knowing God orders my steps, I can be a peacemaker by a kind word in Truth, I can put my faith in God’s Word (the engine) and not my feeling (the caboose), I can let God be the fixer and trust in HIs plan. I can trust in His well-ordered plan.
Beautiful!
I’m so thankful that God created the world to run in such an orderly fashion. It gives me security and peace to know that the sun will rise and set each day and night. If God is trustworthy with that, he will be with me too! Thanks, Joanne.
Joanne,
I need to remember that my vantage point is not God’s truth. I may see disorder and disarray, but God orders my steps, my days, and my life. In this I take great comfort. There is a method to the madness and God is shaping me in the process. Beautiful post.
Blessings,
Bev xx
Like the steps in a dance, our days must be ordered to fit the rhythm God has laid out for us.

Good words, Joanne.
Joanne, so comforting to think about how our Creator orders everything in our world, so He’s very capable of handling our lives. Love this, “Our world operating in perfection because He has determined its order. This brings me the assurance He is fully able to perfectly order my steps as well.”
