Lord, we recognize and admit not everyone is experiencing happiness during this season. But may we remember that You have promised us JOY in You. May we draw near to You today in the confidence that as we do so, You will draw near to us. Fill us with Your JOY as we rejoice in You. Amen.

It is a most amazing to thing to experience joy when one is not happy. And you are right, there is a comfort He brings to us in those moments.
