As I turned the page of a new calendar year, I felt compelled to read the first few chapters in Genesis. After all, what better time to read of the beginning of time than at the beginning of a new year.
Here is what I noticed:
- “Then God said ….†(verse 6) and “… that is what happened†(verse 7).
- “Then God said …†(verse 9) and “… that is what happened†(verse 9).
- “Then God said …†(verse 11) and “… that is what happened†(verse 11).
- “Then God said …†(verse 14) and “… that is what happened†(verse 15).
- “Then God said …†(verse 24) and “… that is what happened†(verse 24).
- “Then God said …†(verse 29) and “… that is what happened†(verse 30)
Cause and effect is where one action results in another.
God spoke and it happened.
Today I am sharing at W2W Ministries about the certainty of God’s promises and I am hoping you will join me here.

Today I am joining … Inspire Me Monday .
Headed over to read it now!
I’m going to comment here, because W2W uses Google for comments…and I haven’t been having any luck with them lately (not to mention that they make me jump through way too many hoops just to comment). I hold on to the promise that God will direct my paths–I know he’s not going to point out a road and tell me to take it, but I do know that if I stay connected to him, he’ll make opportunities that keep me on his choice of roads.
Anita, I apologize for any difficulty in leaving a comment. I know I struggle at times as all the platforms are so different. I am grateful for the way God directs and as we follow His lead, we find the best of roads.
PS – Looking forward to the writing challenge 🙂
